NOOC was established over forty years ago by a group of concerned citizens in Oxford, with support from the British Council and Oxford City Council.
The North Oxford Overseas Centre is run by the Oxford Overseas Student Housing Association Ltd, a not-for-profit organisation with charitable status. The Board of Management runs NOOC through various committees: the Housing Management Group, the Building Working Group, the Social Working Group, and the Finance Committee. The Board of Management is made up of well-qualified local professionals and academics who are committed to NOOC’s aims and Christian ethos.
The Association is regulated by the Memorandum and Articles of Association and the Registrar of the Industrial and Provident Societies (now the Financial Conduct Authority).
