The rules were written to try to ensure that every person’s needs are considered by other residents.

1. Do not cause a nuisance to neighbours, staff or other residents at NOOC.
2. Do not commit any form of harassment on the grounds of race, colour, sex, sexual orientation, age, religion or disability, which may interfere with the peace and comfort of, or cause offence to, any other resident, members of his or her household, staff, visitors or neighbours.
3. Do not commit any act which results in serious disruption of another resident’s right to peacefully occupy any other part of the Centre, or which results in physical harm to any other resident or person connected with NOOC.
4. Do not make a loud noise in your room (Zoom and phone calls, radio, films, playing a musical instrument etc.) so that it causes nuisance, disturbance or annoyance to other Residents. Please remember that speaking into an iPad or laptop creates more noise than speaking into a phone held to your ear and mouth.
5. Do not keep any animals in the Centre.
6. Do not keep bicycles or large equipment in rooms.
7. Do keep the interior of the Centre clean and in good condition. Do not leave any items obstructing the passageways such as shoes outside your room door.
8. Do not remove or alter any part of the Centre, its fittings or furniture.
9. Do not allow anyone else to live in the Centre who has not been approved and registered by the Administrator.
10. Do observe health, safety and fire regulations established by NOOC and do not engage in any activity that is likely to endanger the health or safety of residents and staff.
11. Do not conduct any form of business from your room.
12. Do not smoke anywhere inside NOOC.
